I believe I was born to shoot photos. In fact it runs in my veins. I started taking photos as early when I was 12 years old, because my dad was also a photographer He patiently taught me all the nuances of photography. He also raised our family through photography in as much as he put up a photo studio which also became our main source of livelihood. My father also became my teacher and at the same time made me work in our studio. He assigned me in various photo shoots such as wedding, debut, baptismal, food photography, product shots and others. Later, I delved into photojournalism and was hired by the Manila Times, one of the most prestigious and respected newspapers in the Philippines. I was given various beats such as police, sports, corporate, lifestyle, entertainment and others. My talents were finally recognized when I won the best news photograph award from Catholic Mass Media Award (CMMA) a prestigious award giving bodies with my photo on a tragic fire incident in Laguna, South of Manila, Philippines. The editors of the Manila Times also choose that photo as the Times Photo of the Year. I was also a regular stringer for Reuters News Agency in which my assignments were almost purely hard news coverage and was a presidential close-in photographer at the Presidential Photographers Division. This job has given me the chance to work closely with the President of the Philippines in which most of the time I get to be assigned to cover her activities during her local and foreign visits. I also worked as a production photographer in Picture Perfect Network company in Miami Florida and a Portrait School Photographer in Gerlinde Photography in Hollywood Florida. Certainly, my being a photographer has given me the chance to visit various places and meet a lot of other people. I love being a photographer. It's my life and vocation.
